Lesley Barrett
Lesley Barett Scratchboard Art
I began my art career many years ago dabbling in oils, watercolour and drawing. Since then I have discovered the wonderful creative world of scratchboard art.
It's been around for many years and was used extensively in the advertising industry but has now taken on a slightly different form.
The masonite boards are covered with a layer of white kaolin clay. This is then airbrushed with black india ink. The artist scratches the ink off with various scalpels and tools to reveal the white layer underneath.
Liz & Ron Bowley
In Liz’s studio you will find many landscapes with a strong emphasis on the effects of light on her subject.
Ron collects and restores Vintage radios and has an interesting display of radios from the 1920’s onwards.
Paul Williams
Amazing handcrafted objects made from recycled materials.
Contemporary artwork and sculpture. Paul & his family invite you to drop in and take a look at their rustic gallery in the grounds of the Outpost Retreat.
Jane Walker
Runtil Studio Handcrafted Jewellery
I completed the Advanced Diploma of Engineering Technology (Jewellery) at Box Hill Institute in 2009 and have now established a studio at my home in Bruthen, East Gippsland where I continue to design and make jewellery. My work is very unique and individual. I prefer to make one off pieces giving my customers a feeling of joy that they own "the only one".
My work can be seen locally at:
NU Art Gallery, Metung.
Bruthen Information and Arts Centre, Bruthen.
Deborah Milligan
I have been painting for 30 years and focused first on watercolours as they were easy to travel with while I was backpacking in my early 20’s. In my 30’s I started to move away from representational art, and nearly a decade ago developed a love of abstraction, which holds me in its thrall still.
